Lonesome's Christmas Cards
The picture for GCT's Christmas card is entitled 'Lonesome's Christmas' and has been created by artist Alexis Deacon. Alexis visited Galapagos as part of GCT's Gulbenkian Galapagos Artists Residency Programme, funded by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Daniel Gaydon tribute clothing from Colony IV
In December 2006, Daniel Gaydon from Minehead died tragically in Africa whilst pursuing his love of travelling. He had dreamt of visiting the Galapagos and during his 2005 South America trip he got the chance. Colony IV, with input from Dannys family and friends, have created the memorial design which is available from Tony Pryce Sport's surfshop outlets 'Wipeout' and online at www.liquidlines.co.uk. Bronze pair of courting Blue-footed Boobies
This sculpture is limited to an edition of 50, standing approximately 5" tall x 6" wide, signed by the artist, Jemma Pearson, stamped with the foundry mark and the individual edition number. It is supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity. 10% of each sale of this and other bronzes from the Archipelago Bronzes collection are being donated to GCT to support conservation in Galapagos. Other sculptures in the collection include a pair of diving Sea Lions, a Giant Tortoise, a pair of Marine Iguanas and a portrait head of Charles Darwin - prices vary.
